Tactics for single-handing

Undertaking passages of about 36hrs without sleep is not too arduous - once you've built up to it. Some tactics to deal with any drowsy spells are to set a kitchen timer to make sure you don't doze off an inopportune time, and playing up tempo music that you can sing along to can help (at least there will be no one around to mock your efforts!).
